My telegram 175 of 21st May, 1946.
1.
I have now signed a further Provisional General Warrant
authorising expenditure on Personal Emoluments, Pensions and Allowances
as specified in the Estimates for the Financial Year 1946-1947, together
with two-thirds of the other charges specified in the Estimates, to cover
expenditure until 31st December, 1946.
2.
I had previously signed a Provisional General Warrant on
24th August, covering Personal Emoluments as specified in the Estimates,
together with half the other charges, to cover expenditure until 31st
October, 1946.
3.
I am deferring the issue of a General Warrant until financial
approval of the Estimates has been received from you.
